15 months recovered, forever at peace.

What I love about recovery?

I can appreciate food…I can take in the art of how its cooked and the time and patience that goes in to preparing a beautiful meal, I can let the food absorb and melt in my mouth without calculating the calories and adding it to my intake for the day and planning a workout that will burn off every bite.  I can relax after a meal with a glass of wine or some chocolate instead of standing in front of the mirror and waiting for the bloating to go away.  And the next morning, I wake up and I still feel as wonderful as I did the night before.

Last night I spent the night in with my boyfriend..he cooked me crab stuffed flounder, angel hair pasta, shrimp, and a homemade lemon butter sauce.  For an appetizer he made me crab cakes and homemade tartar sauce.  It was absolutely delicious..and I had no fear, no anxiety, no worries about my body..I simply enjoyed it.  I love that..he made such an effort to cook up something so great and I could truly appreciate every part of it.
